Phone Apps on Cell Phones

Uncle is 83, and fumbles with answering calls on his Android phonw. An incoming call gives him a green and red circle, you put your finger on a circle and move it a bit and it answers (most of the time.) Not sure if its his mobility or what, but that doesn't work for him. Anyone found an app that makes answering phone calls on Android simpler? Thanks for whatever you can offer.

I have never used anything other than the Google dialer or whatever it's called but if you look around on the fdroid store there are some alternate dialers that may or may not be helpful. Simple dialer is what comes to mind but again I've never really looked at any in depth. Not sure if they're allowed to handle answering calls, you'd probably want to experiment with them on your phone first and see what you can do. Past that, your uncle may be a candidate for one of those dedicated old folks phone (jitterbug or something of the sort). Also possible there exists a phone rom built for purpose to be simple for older folk but that's just speculation and may be more work than you're interested in taking on.

My parents have iPhones and end up having to call me back because they can never figure out how to answer in time. 10 - 20 seconds later my phone usually rings
Teach him out to use Hey Google. That way when he misses your call he can just say "Hey Google, call Rob" to call you back.
