Ran across old DVD-Rs from when my daughters were babies. I can play them on the Sony camcord I shot them with, but will not play on my DVD player on my computer and when I click on "Computer" and look at my DVD selection, it says blank DVD.

Get VLC like Sam said and also get a thIng called
K-Lite Codec Pack that will supplement it. They are both free.

Both are available for download on this link
