It's a great idea I just have some initial concerns that I know personally would need to be addressed before I bought.

page 26. its just a cheap zwave on/off sensor that comes in the little 'security pack' from home depot that mctiger got for $25 (normally $50).

if you cant find it on sale at home depot, you can probably find it at amazon for less than $50

eta just picked up another schlage connect for $82 thanks to that stupid search i set up for you on be469

do those smart blinds simply go up and down? or do they sell the kind that rotate as well?

From what I can tell the blinds only seem to rotate, not go up and down. It's the "shades" that go up and down. It's not very clear though. Also it'd be like ~$5k to outfit the whole house with Bali motorized shades/blinds. I'll be looking elsewhere. Or maybe just do a few windows at a time.

I'm just not sure how practical iblinds is. Who wants to see a power cord coming out of their blind?

Bali offers a battery, power cord, and a solar option. I assume most will have something similar?

Cad........ I can't get my lock to connect. I reset the lock, got the app ready, typed in the access code then 0, the wink hub turned green, the lock flashed the yellow light then the red X..

I moved the hub 2 feet from the lock and same thing.

The lock is then NX version but I should be compatible

You may have to factory reset the lock if it's used and already paired with another network.

Try putting the lock into pairing mode (in the instructions) and use the exclusion mode on wink..Get the hub ready first

Go under hub.. Select your hub in app.. Click the three ... Then select zwave controls and you'll see it there.

This should reset the lock (if wink changes from flashing blue to green then solid blue) then you can go in the app and as it like normal.

If that fails there is s factory reset option you can do with the lock itself.. Can't remember exactly but it has something to do with holding down the schlage button while you remove the battery pack.

Eta the nice thing is if you do it correctly the lock will flash the green check so you don't have to rely just on the wink which may flash green while you are blinking

Ive done the factory default reset multiple times, then i just try to connect following the instructions on wink. Ill try what you just mentioned this afternoon

So basically i need to put in my programing code and not press 0. and try to see if wink sees it's zwave.

No it's another century rectangle. My old house had the agreed bronze, the new house is all silver so I had to buy new locks

You trying to figure out which auction I bought? stalker

Eta and zwave is zwave. Your lock will work fine once you get the initial weirdness sorted out.

Eta2 model number bbe469nxcen626

No if it was bronze i was going to get you to sell it to me for 80$

And how long before the C bulbs are able to pair with Wink? i want to put them on timers. And to me it looks like the every room bulbs suck compared to the bedroom bulbs. they are just the Day time color and dim... I would rather 4 bedroom bulbs in each pack so you can change the whole house from AM to Day to PM.

No I think you do the same thing both times. It's just the hub sends a GET OUT message if you are using exclusion mode. The lock will flash green check to tell you it received the signal to drop it's existing zwave pairing.

Make sense? You go through the same steps on the lock to get it to listen either way.. It's just in the exclusion mode case it's getting a signal saying to unpair and it will respond with a green check.

gotcha

So basically the lock is taking by another hub and when you try to connect it says no. So this hub has to tell it to un pair first then you can pair it again.

Ramrod.. Go here and read what I wrote.. Middle of page

LINK /

Just ignore inclusion mode step and use normal add-a-lock instead since this is the first time you're pairing it.

Just downloaded Yonomi. I like it alot better than IFTTT. It unlocked my schlage just as i pulled into the garage, so the geofencing response was excellent on its first try. Only thing it doesn't see is MyQ. Also, no longer have to say trigger for Alexa commands.
