I use an old Android phone for exactly that, using the app IP Cam. It even has 2 way audio so I can frick with my dogs during the day. You can view the webcam on your computer via internet browser or an an app on your phone.

i have interest in it but it would be 3rd on the list after the other 2 requirements i wanted.

My bad, I didn't mean to copy the doorbell part. It doesn't have the actual doorbell functionality. But yeah I do have it mounted to brick right above my front door, not taped though
