my question is if it responds to OK google just like your phone i can see interference. Say you are in the kitchen and your phone and google home are in the kitchen i can see them both responding to your question.

Hmm, they didn't announce a Echo Dot-like device. I guess I would have to shell out for at least 2 Google Home devices

Yeah cheaper than the echo, but not the dot. But so much more powerful at the same time.

another question i had about the google home was the feature about throwing things up to the tv. which is really cool. but say your chromecast is in hdmi3 and you currently have it on hdmi1 which is your directv.
I wonder if it will switch inputs. They didn't mention anything about that so im thinking no.

I really hope so. I was holding out on buying the Amazon Echo to see what Google Home can do. Looks like the basic unit has sold me on it. I'm buying one for now. Hopefully, we get Dot-like devices very soon.

The fact that it can play the music through my chromecast audio (which is plugged into my 2 zone receiver) is just fantastic really.
