No Wifi on Ipad

Need a little help with my son's Ipad Mini 4. He hasn't used it in a while and with doing virtual learning I wanted to set it up to do zoom on it while he has his laptop screen for work. I turned it on and noticed that the wifi was turned off. I tried to turn it on but it is greyed out. Also tried the control center and it has a line through the wifi icon.
I plugged it into a machine to update it through itunes and did, but it still is not showing the wifi.
We had the screen replaced a few months back and I was thinking that they damaged the wifi antennae somehow.
Probably will order a new one and replace, but was wondering if anyone else has had or seen this issue.

Reset the network settings.
If that does not work for you, reset the iPad.

I've done both.
When I reset the iPad and tried to setup as new, it asks to choose a wifi network, but doesn't display any to choose from.

That sounds like the hardware for the wifi isn't working anymore. Especially if you already reset everything like was suggested.

Yeah it’s probably hardware, but I would see if you can call AppleCare over the phone to run diagnostics. They may be able to tell if the WiFi module or other hardware is having a problem.
