I just finished a build for the first time in 8 years. Admittedly, I didn't realize some components were hard to get (impossible) right now. If I had to do it again, I probably would have waited. But once I started, I decided to finish it out the best I could. I ended up spending money on some unnecessary items(mostly to get white components), simply because I couldn't get the CPU and GPU's that I had budgeted for. Some items also went on better sales for black friday after I purchased so I might could have saved a little. I was attempting an all white build, but I could not get a white GPU at the time. I'm also not a gamer, though I may try it some. The RAM was a mistake, I meant to order 4 sticks of 8 but didn't bother to return it so I have 4x16

For anyone interested. Some of these prices are after tax/shipping. Total was roughly $2850 or so.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x - $490

GPU: Gigabyte RX5700XT - $415
PSU: Corsair RMX series - white 750x - $168

FANS: Lian Li white SL120's (these were hard to find) x 6 and the controller - $205

CPU FANS: Lian Li Galahad white 360 AIO - $150

Cables: Lian li STRIMER plus RGB cables, 24 and 8 pin - $110

OS: Windows - $140
WIFI/bluetooth PCI card - $40
Mouse: Logitech g502 mouse - $40

Yeah, the white-out tax can be painful.

Here's to hoping you have fewer issues with the Lian Li Uni Hub than I did, but if you do run into issues, let me know and I'll walk you through what I can

I've had okay luck with the uni-fan hub...but the Galahad AIO fans have some issues. A couple of the LEDS are stuck on certain colors. I wish the Galahad came with the uni fans. I may switch those 3 out to unis at some point. I don't like the controller that came with the galahad either.

I was one of the unlucky ones that, until they issued a fix recently, had to literally unplug the usb cable (either from the hub or from my motherboard header) and plug it back in if I wanted to get it to change from unicorn vomit after any full power cycle. I just got in the habit of using sleep instead of shut down and manually restarting every once and a while (which doesn't count as a full power cycle).

I ordered a PC a couple of weeks ago from OriginPC. ETA is end of January. Mostly likely waiting on the AMD Ryzen 5900x and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. They are in high demand for sure.
