I have been asked to find sections of pipe, highlight those sections, and make grey/transparent all the irrelevant sections. This for a large industrial project. I can find what pieces I'm looking for rather easily using the selection tree. What I am trying to do is edit everything but the selected sections all at once. Anyone know of a solution? TIA

Haven’t worked with Simulate, but in Navisworks there was an option to either “Hide Selected” or to “Hide All except Selected”. Does this type of option exist?

I used it quite a bit to highlight different lines around a project and bring focus to those lines only.

I did this a couple years ago for a industrial piping project too. I just forgot how to do it. Try this link.

If it’s in a selection tree there should be checkboxes to eliminate everything besides the line. From there you can eliminate other sections of the line that you don’t need.

Click on one of the pieces you want to keep. There's a select similar button. Then hit hide unselected.
