My LG OLEG G1 randomly switches video source to the HDMI ARC Out source.

My SONOS sound bar is connected to the HDMI ARC Out port in back of the TV. Sometimes when I'm on youtube or youtube TV the TV will randomly select the HDMI ARC Out port as a video source.
I have no idea why this happens. I love the TV and set up but when the input randomly switches it can be really annoying.
Any ideas of what is going on here?

any reason you can't disable CEC? CEC is flaky in many setups.

What is CEC?
Sorry for the dumb question.

Sometimes called HDMI-CEC has several different “brand” or “flavors,” but it is a protocol for sending controls over HDMI.
An example: CEC can allow your TV to send inputs from your TV’s remote to your Amazon FireTV/roku/AppleTV/DVD player or control the volume over your receiver (or give the signal to power on/off these devices over the HDMI signal).
The wiki and if you check out the “trade names” section, you’ll find that LG calls it “Simplink,” so if you dig through your settings, you may find it under that heading.
ETA- it also can allow any capable device to tell its “host” that has an embedded HDMI switch (ie, more than one HDMI port) to switch to the port that is “active” or receiving a command. Ex: you have set top box from cable company + Roku. You are watching tv but sit on Roku remote and push the “left” button. It may flip your HDMI port from the set top box to the Roku. It is a very odd mix of a very convenient feature when properly implemented and understood to an extremely annoying one when your devices turn your system back on after updating themselves (or something like that)

Do you use any device remotes to control your TV? Do you use your TV remote to control any other devices (volume of a receiver or sound bar is common)? If you dont have any of those uses, you can likely disable Simplink or CEC and it will stop changing inputs on you.

I use the TV remote to control the TV and Sonos ARC sound bar when watching TV.
When listening to music I use my iphone SONOS app to control the SONOS system in the entire house. The Sonos ARC is connected to the TV and I can play the ARC though the SONOS app on my iphone.

So you probably can't fully disable CEC/Simplink as it will not allow your TV remote to turn the volume up/down on your sonos if you do that.
My Vizio has a CEC setting that is "arc only." You might see if yours has this. This will allow audio out to the sonos and the volume commands from the TV to the sound bar will still work but the TV should ignore any CEC commands from the Sonos. That should stop the HDMI input switching for you.

Make sure Auto Device Detection is turned off. That might be the problem.

This right here^^^^^
I have a Visio TV with a Visio sound bar, and when I set it up with the CEC enabled, it did all kinds of crap, much of what you mentioned above. Turned CEC off, no more issues.
