Mouse Not working Properly -- Help Needed

Okay, so my mouse is doing strange things. I can click on some links but then on others it isn't working. For example, I'm using chrome browser, and I can click on the little plus sign to open up a new tab, but I can click on an existing other tab to go back to it.
It is doing other weird things as well. Like, the "right-click" dialog box will randomly start flickering.
I know it isn't the mouse, because I swapped another one in, and same issues.
Steps taken thus far:
- swapped in new mouse
- went to device manager and uninstalled both mouses, and then restarted computer.
It’s a Lenovo desktop running windows 10
Any ideas?

You didn't mention anything about the mouse, wireless, wired, what brand? Rey changing ports for the mouse or dongle. That will likely fix it unless its a Microsoft mouse. In which case change the mouse.

Check the settings to be sure it has not switched to left handed settings.
Big hospital I worked in I used to get sent to a couple of departments pretty regularly and it was simply resetting the mouse to right handed. Don't know who, or what, caused the 2 PC's it would happen on, but somehow they were getting set to left handed mouse and it blew everyone's mind including IT.

Clean the ball

Reminds me of back in high school before optical mice, after moving to a new classroom my teacher's mouse ball turned up missing. He said he had a female mouse, and they don't work nearly as well as the male ones.

I originally had a wireless mouse when it started doing it. To make sure it wasn't the mouse, I swapped in a wired mouse and it was doing the same stuff.

It's not that.
