I live in New Orleans and have TOCA alarm system for our house. We currently have 2 alarm panels that are in this LINK

We also have the little TOCA sensors on every window so that if they get separated the alarm will also trigger. I'm wondering if it's possible to make any of these "smart" in the sense that I can trigger my LIFX lights to go red if alarm trips OR just send an alert/text if the alarm is tripped.

I know it's possible because we once paid TOCA for text alerts but wondering if the same thing is possible without paying them extra $$$?

Toca uses DMP alarms.

I doubt it. It integrates with a control system like Control 4. Unless you are paying for some cloud service as part of your alarm package that can speak with LIFX in the cloud I doubt you will be able to make this happen.

Is there a way to remove the 2 DMP/TOCA panels and swap them with something smart? If it's a lot of work then blah.

If its sounding a horn or a light you should be able to grab that output and drive a relay. From there you would need to have a smart hub and find a sensor that can sense a dry contact and then you would trigger whatever you want to happen when your hub senses that the dry contact is closed.

i run a konnected panel, works great! I have it setup through smartthings and still missing a few features, like delay exit, but there are workarounds as well as other integrations that can provide that.
