Looking for tech help for my dad

My dad is 71 and has no technological abilities whatsoever. He is also struggling with memory loss. I bought him a subscription to mlb tv to use on a fire stick that I installed because all he wants to do is watch his Cardinals games every day. Problem is he can’t seem to be able to navigate through using a firetv remote and Tv remote for changing input to switch from the cable box. Is there a way to control mlbtv via the voice command feature on the fire remote? I tried briefly and failed to get it to do what I wanted. Are there any other tech options to help my dad out?
