My wifi connection keeps dropping every 20 minutes or so, only for about 10 seconds but it's aggravating as hell when I'm trying to watch a game.
I'm thinking it's my router. What's a good router for a reasonable price, $80 to $150 or so.

Any brands to stay away from? I always had netgear I think.

I am a fan of netgear but I decided to buy a cheap tp-link mesh system for our fishing camp so a few cabins can share internet and have been pretty impressed with it.

Yeah that thing is pretty sweet as a starter router. Has WiFi built in and can control other WiFi APs if you end up needing more range. Can't comment on the range but their regular APs are solid. It'll be a tad bit harder to set up than your most barebones routers but with it comes a lot of options made about as simple as one can make such things. I'm likely to pick up its beefier version pretty soon.

I'll second the UniFi Express, it is what I now have.
