LED strips: How to get a genuine (or at least similar) LSU purple?

Does anyone have advice/experience getting a nice LSU purple out of LED strips? Do I need to buy separate purple strips?
I have tried a few different variations of LEDstrips (SK6812, WS2812b, and WS2811) and different controllers (tasmota, magic hue, custom IDE firmware, etc.), but the purple just looks like a washed out blue. I tried using the specific RGB and Hex codes for LSU purple as well with no luck.
Thanks

Tried changing the brightness of your blue channel? Sounds like it is oversaturating your red channel.
I use 5050 rgbw LEDs with no issue getting a good purple. Driving mine with a D1 nodemcu and tasmota.

LSU purple always looks blue on TV, so maybe you got it perfect!

Pretty much my same setup I have on my TV, except I used a MagicHue controller (which uses the ESP8266) and flashed Tasmota. I'll look into adjusting the brightness on the blue channel.
Thanks!

I bought a cheap generic one on Amazon (about 10 or 12 bucks ) and it changes to several colors with about 3 variations of purple.

Just messed with mine. On the color wheel for what should be LSU purple it shows as blue. May need to look into mine as well.
