So I am wanting to add these above my cabinets, don't have any outlets prebuilt in though obviously. What's the best way to get power to these without having the cord sticking out looking like shite?

you dont even have an outlet in one of the cabinets for a built-in microwave? where does your stove vent get power? i drilled a small hole in the top of my cabinets at my old house above the cabinet that had the outlet & plugged it in that way.

at worst, if you have an outlet near a corner, you could run a cord up behind the cabinets in the corner (there's always a little 'tunnel' where the corner cabinets meet) and it won't look any more noticeable than any other appliance plugged in on your counter.

best advice is to get an electrician to wire in an outlet inside a cabinet or above them.

We do, they are singles though unfortunately, so only the fan hood or microwave plugged into them.

LED lights dont use much power, put a 3way adapter on it.

Picked up and installed 2 light strips and the hub with the bulbs in my kitchen, we love it. Super cool and with IFTTT takes it to a whole other level.

Going to take the colored bulbs back though and just get the hub. I don't have any usable outlets for those old twist bulbs in our house :/

I appreciate it, the IFTTT app is amazing, can put it on color loop and it just keeps cycling through now

Hey Cad, I'm still interested if you are looking to get rid of a few light strips.

Lifx actually makes a led strip that can have multiple colors at once.

Sorry I missed this but I'm good. Might hit you up for extensions down the road but we're under construction right now so I need to do some electrical before I'll be ready to get stripping . Preciate it though.
