Lag/latency issues, need help please!

Ok, this will be rather long, sorry in advance.
A couple of months ago I noticed I was getting some lag jump when playing rocket league. I have charter 200 down, and usually only my kid is streaming something on Netflix (not 4K), so I thought this can’t be right. I restarted my router and modem, and then I couldn’t get anything higher than like 1mbps. I called charter to come look, but it turns out my router had crapped the bed. It was like a 5 year old nighthawk, so no big deal. Charter had come out anyways and said it was my router and then didn’t change anything on their end, but still charged me a service call.
Fast forward a couple of days, I got an ASUS RT-AX82U. I thought that would for sure fix my issue. Get on a game of RL, same thing happens, have tons of lag issues, screen jump, etc. I have dealt with this for a couple of months.
Fast forward a while longer and I decide to replace my modem. It was a docsis 3.1 from charter, but I figure it can’t hurt to have a newer one. Ordered an arris s33. Now everything I have is my equipment. Hop on a game of RL again, same issues.
I am pulling my hair out over this. My speed is consistently over 220 mbps when I do a Speedtest. I’m on a wired connection to my pc. I have no idea what could be causing this. My router has the latest software. I know it’s not a game issue when it happens because I am playing with friends on the same server and they aren’t experiencing it.
Any ideas? I’m willing to try anything. I’ve been running ping plotter (the free version) when I play, but I have no idea what I’m looking at really.

Your speed has little to nothing to do with latency.

Sure, I comprehend that. But I just wanted to point out that I don’t have crap internet or crap equipment.
Anyways, what do you think is the issue? I am close to my router, using a wired connection, and a category 6 cable. My modem and router are all in the same vicinity. Could my isp be the cause of ping/latency issues? Is there anything that can be checked to find the source?

Are you running speed tests at the same time you are seeing issues? Have you tried outside of peak hours?
On arris modems you used to go to I think 192.168.100.1, and get the singal information.
Sounds like an isp issues or you got a bad connection somewhere.
Also try fast.com has a decent latency test that runs as well

I think this is a RL issue. Their servers have always randomly done the same to me (console). Sometimes I can't even matchmake in RL and other games work fine. It's not consistently like that for me, but it happens to me somewhat frequently. In fact, happened to me last night first time playing RL in a few months.

I thought about that, but it never seemed to be a problem until recently. I’ve been playing for over 2 years.

Yes, no problems there. I’ve played at all hours and had this issue.

Ok but what do I learn from this? Sorry did it but not sure what to do with this info.
Will try fast.com as you suggest

You can see errors in the log. I used this info to prove to comcast that there was an issue somewhere prior to my equipment when they lazily were blaming my customer-owned surfboard. Turns out there was a bad filter (or something like that, it was a while ago) in the large junction box in my neighbor's yard.
My issue sounds like a different one than yours, so I am just providing an anecdote regarding how that info can help.
