Should I pay for parallels to run windows? Should I pay for Microsoft Office (need to be able to work on .docs for work)

Probably. You can use Pages (Word) and Numbers (Excel) to get by - and save in the formats for each - but it's not the same.

Haha just bought the old lady the new MacBook. And got her the office suite for $150. Didn't want to deal with the other bs and wanted her to be able to take it to work tomorrow.
