JBL Flip 5 compared to Ultimate Ears

I am looking at getting another Bluetooth speaker. Had several friends with the Ultimate Ears. Torn between the JBL Flip 5 or the Ultimate Ears.

Oldest kid got a flip a couple years ago and loved it. Wife was impressed so that was one of her presents last year with the latest waterproof flip. I have no experience with Ultimate Ears.

Which one are you looking at getting? I have both a MegaBoom and a Megablast.
Both have served me well for around the house and boating/beach trips.

The Flip 5 was on sale on prime day...got mine in yesterday and it sounds great.
