Issues with iPhone X sending/receiving texts from android

I’ve randomly had this start happening the last few days with my wife's iPhone 6 (at&t) She sent a bunch of photos of my kids yesterday and one comes in every few hours (including all hours of the night).

Note: att service has been shite the last few days.

I was in a group this semester. Us Android guys wouldn't get the iPhone texts sometimes until 6+ hours later

VZ/ATT send all text messages to an intercarrior that then sends it to the other networks. I'm having the same issue, but it appears to only affect group texts for me. Just got one this morning that was sent before 2 p.m. yesterday.
