Is this a reliable riser cable?

Adding a 16GB 5060TI for the memory, and needed to create space

I was told you have to be careful with riser cables, and cheap cables can end up frying you MB

Linkup 30cm

I've been running the PCIe Gen 4 version of that riser on my 3080 for the better part of half a decade now with zero issue, so unless LINKUP has shite the bed since then, you should be fine.

ETA: Mine is 15cm, but point stands, regardless.

You're welcome

With that said, you sure you need 30cm? If you do, you do, but having extra length you don't need can be annoying. You can make an s-curve out of it to chew up some of the length, but just make sure you're not getting more than you need.

My first time using a riser cable. Went with the longest I could possibly need

Can buy a shorter one when I am confident in the positioning

If your connectors are in line, or with only vertical offset, it’s pretty easy to figure out what you need. If you need any substantial horizontal offset, things get fricky.

Is this in a case? What problem are you trying to solve?

I think I can keep it in the case, if not, outside will work, hence the 30cm. If I can keep it in, I will probably get a 10

I have a Gigabyte Aorus Ice pro z890

the 2 additional PCIE's are too low on the board, and the 5060ti can't seat because the bottom connectors (LED, FAUDIO, and USB)

Side note: people told me my 860w corsair was enough for both, but future-proofed with a 1200w. . .sadly it didn't have the 12x6 that I have come to love, but I made do with the extra plug
