Want to hang a tv out in the garage. The garage door is insulated, but it's not a conditioned space, so didn't want to spend a ton of money.

I've been googling and it seems like Insignia gets recommended a lot for a budget tv. I'm looking at this one in particular: LINK

It has a ton of good reviews. Would this be ok for an auxiliary tv in a garage?

Any other suggestions? Would like to keep it under $300 and any size between 40" and 50" is fine. I'm a Costco and Sam's Club member as well if they have better deals.

I got one about 4 yrs ago for a garage setup like you. 50”. I’ve been happy. I recently moved and have it setup under a covered patio. It’s still going strong.

I got one a couple of years ago..It's a great tv for the price. It comes with a TV guide for the OTA and Roku. You can also save shows to a SD card.

I have a small (24", I think) that I bought for the kids play room. Works fine, sometimes the interface is a little slow, but other than that, I have no complaints.

I bought a 40 inch for the play room a year ago. No complaints and would buy again if I needed another set.

I have 3 insignia TVs, all at least 3 years old, and they all still work well. Granted, I don't watch TV much (only 1 gets turned on daily, and only for an hour or so), but they've served me well.

I've had one for over 8 years now and it still works just fine. By no means top of the line, but unless you're a tv nerd... there's really not an insane difference between the at one point $400 42' insignia and my 2k xbr900e 65inch.

The insignia uses the same panels that LG uses. Just a private label for Best Buy

I wanted the lowest price TV I could find to put on my back porch and decided on this one. Haven't had any issues yet. Looks like a good value.

I have a TCL as well on my covered patio. I got a all weather cover that stays on it unless I’m using it. So far so good. I’m ok with it dying after a couple years. It was only a couple hundred.

I have people over often so it serves it purpose for games and entertainment.

Yeah I was hoping to get a few years vs 14 months. Now trying to decide if I want to spend $80 to replace all the boards and see if that fixes it, or if I bite the bullet and buy a new TV.

I don't know about current models, but over 10 years ago, I paid about $400 for a "cheap" open box /display model 27 inch TV at Best Buy for the kids room upstairs, that we have since moved back downstairs to the kitchen because it won't die. Big thick plastic bezel and all, slow channel changes, etc. So old. But got our money's worth, for sure. Take that FWIW.
