It's time to replace my iPhone xs. The battery has been struggling (battery health at 72%) and I dropped it this weekend and the screen is now shattered.

I've had a pixel phone in the past and like the android platform, minus the issues with group texting people with iPhones. For some reason, I would miss alot of messages, I'm guessing because I was on Imessage before and their phones were still trying to send Imessages.

I guess my question is, replace it with a newer iPhone, or look into the current pixel line up. I have a chrome book and use Google photos etc for backup.

I mean thats really gonna come down to personal preference.

I actually just upgraded this week from a Iphone XR to Iphone 12 max Pro. So you can see which direction i chose.

Definitely don't want anything larger than the xs. Seems like Verizon stores around me have limited selections.

I have had no issues other than iPhone people trying to send me videos.

If you like customization then Android

You can’t go wrong with Apple. My opinion.

I really feel like the iPhones are better quality too.

I thought about going with a Pixel, changed my mind when I got to Verizon. Went with iPhone from AT&T. Best choice I had made at the time.

As a former Android user, I like Android better in almost everything except messaging. But it is all so close now that I’ve had my iPhone for a year that it doesn’t matter. The Android keyboards are way fricking better and their autocorrect function beats Apple hands down, as far as messaging goes, but iMessage is still the gold standard of messaging apps without making your iPhone friends go download some other app.

Because everything else is equal, I would say iPhone. I also like that Apple doesn’t track without asking. Or at least to a degree.

Why would they have to do that?
