This phone is fricking beautiful.

But I’m afraid to touch it
Tempted to put it back in the box until I get a case

It sure is. I think the silver looks better than the gray.

I got the space gray, but I think both look nice. I still wish pure white was an option.

Just used FaceID. Holy shite. So fast.
I genuinely felt going into this phone that FaceID would have growing pains and be slightly awkward at first. I literally don’t even have to think. It’s so quick to recognize your face that you just swipe up and it’s unlocked. The first time I used it I thought I screwed up and was waiting for some form of error message

Yeah Face ID is great so far. I haven’t had a fail yet.

Same here. And it’s not even that it doesn’t fail that gets me. It’s that you don’t have to wait at all. Before I can even locate the locked icon on the screen, it’s already unlocked.

If this continues without glitching, I’ll have to say it seems superior to Touch ID.

Also, were people in here saying it was annoying to not have the battery life shown on the screen? I’m confused, as mine hasn’t left the top right corner yet. Maybe I was misreading posts earlier. Or maybe it’s in specific apps?

Ahh, that makes more sense.

I do notice the True Tone seeming a tad yellow in the dark. It looked great in light, but with the lights off it turns whites to a slight shade of yellow(which someone had stated earlier in the thread).

this thing is incredible. the upward swipe scared me, but it's quite intuitive. face ID is extremely quick and responsive

Been using Android since the beginning, ordered the X and it's getting here in the next few hours

How will I get all my contacts over, can I sign in with Google like I do normally and everything pops up?

What cases are you guys looking at? I have been using VRS for my Note Edge and now Note 8 and they're really nice. They have some for the X as well <$30.

I have used an iPhone before and there were things I liked for sure. One of the things I remember not liking is when you start to dial someone's name on Android it shows people's names. On the iPhone it didn't do that and just dialed the #s you were entering. Is there a way to make that happen on iPhone?

If I like the X like I think I will what's the best place to sell a brand new Note 8? I got a free 128gb sd card and a free wireless charger, I wonder if the charger will work for the iPhone?

TIA for any answers

I'm trying to check out with Verizon on their website and I've been stuck on "this will only take 15 seconds" for about 5 minutes now.

I have the Spigen Tough Armor and Anker Karapax tempered glass screen protector. it's very slick. Rubbery/softer material + a hard shell. Just enough of a lip to protect the screen in the event of a face-down drop, but still lightweight and with a thin profile. has a kickstand on the back as well.

I have the otterbox. It’s okay but the back is slick.

Face ID works great in dark btw.. in a dark car and it worked flawlessly.

Yeah Face ID is working perfectly for me in the dark. I’m reallly liking the gestures on this phone as well. Everything is coming pretty easily and switching between apps is incredibly smooth and quick.

Works with my glasses and a hat on. This is great.

Had it fail a few times while half asleep last night. not sure if it was because half of my face was covered by a pillow and/or I have to squint really hard since I didn't have my glasses on.

Anyone go the 64GB and rely on cloud storage route? I've got the 2TB plan and wondering if there's any reason to go to the 256. Only stream music and all pics/vids would go to the cloud.

I've always used 32GB and used google for storage
