Apple and Citizens One have decided to forgive the 2 or 3 payments you make between the release of the 8 and the release of the X.

Since there is a delayed release and we won't get new phones in 12 months like we were told, they have decided to refund payments 13, 14, and maybe even 15 if you don't get a phone right away.

You need to contact Citizens One directly to set this up though. This is not automatic.

If you do the Apple upgrade and finish paying for the phone but don't want to update do they stop charging you like next?

Well done by Apple

Makes my decision easier to get the X. No reason to hold on to my 7+ at this point.

Do you have a link or anything? Where'd you find out about this?

Yeah if you pay it off completely, why would they keep charging you?

You wouldn't owe them anything at that point.

If you don't upgrade, you just pay it off in 24 months and you own the phone.

Reddit, people called Citizens One and Apple bitching about the late release date and found out they had decided to do this. You have to deal with Citizens One though, the loan is with them, not Apple. So they make the call on it.

Wonder if it's better to call them sooner or later. I hope it's not too much of a pain in the arse, but this is great news. Apple really created a headache for citizen loan though.

Did you call them?

I haven't gotten around to doing it yet, and can't figure out who or what to say.
