Has anyone had this done or done it yourself? Wondering how hard it is to diy.
Looks like it's damn expensive to have done somewhere.

Apple will do it for $29 says their website. Best Buy is an authorized Apple repair place and usually charges same as Apple.

It's $29 if you have AppleCare+.

I had a battery replacement recently for $49 with no apple care so $29 sounded low but I didn't look any more into it

it's easy. If you do it every day. iPhones use special tools also. I'd suck it up and pay someone.

Back glass is a huge pain in the arse to do by yourself if you aren't experienced and don't have the right tools. The whole back glass has an adhesive and has to be heated to get it to soften. It's also very easy to damage the camera and flash assembly. Also lots of little glass shards comeing off - so wear eye protection.
You can get the parts for pretty cheap on amazon - but it will probably take you a couple of hours to do it.
It's probably worth your time to have a repair center do it.
