iPhone 7 Reception Issues

Is anyone else having issues with reception on iPhone 7? I have been using mine now for about two weeks and I have never had above two bars. I have Verizon and on my Iphone 6 I never had a problem. Now I am having dropped calls and people are saying they can't hear me. Apple hasn't said anything but others are saying they are having the same problem.

I'm using a 7 and haven't noticed any difference in service. The speaker is much louder on this phone than previous versions, so I'm not sure why you would be having audio issues?
Sounds like this is a carrier problem to me.

Thanks...Just curious, which model do you have? Mine is the 7 plus 32 gb. Are you on Verizon?

I'm on Sprint and my wife and I both have the 7 128gb models. I haven't heard of this complaint, but search online and you'll find a lot of info. It might be a legitimate problem on that model.

Do you have a case on the phone?
I have read people with certain cases cause this
Because of how it's made and something where certain cases block the reception.
I am not a technical person, so forgive my lack of terminology.. Just read some reviews on certain cases stating they caused this issue.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

And also see if there is a possible carrier update

Same phone as you and also Verizon. I've noticed I'm on 3G a lot more than I was with my 6, service is definitely worse.

If you get more dropped calls turn off HD calling. Won't sound as crisp but VoIP still has some kinks in some areas. Source: trust me I see this issue everyday at my job...
Also dial ## send after every dropped call. After a month call tech support and tell them to look back over your calls. ## acts as a reference point. You'll be able to tell them every call before they see ## was dropped and they can trace each call individually.
Going into a Verizon retail store will not help you at all.

Damn that's smart advice. Haven't had any dropped calls yet.
Going to change out my case and see if that helps. The lte service goes out in the same areas everyday (I-10 between Gonzales and Highland) but I never had that issue before switching phones.

HD calling goes through the LTE signal, while non HD calling goes through 3G or CDMA part of the tower. Which is why calls drop when LTE drops.
