I have an IPhone 11 and It has a cracked screen. I 've replaced the screen on several older I phones and I'm wondering if this setup is the same or different. Im wanting to know if this is an outer piece of glass and then the digitizer or if the cracked screen and digitizer are together? Put more concisely-what needs to be replaced on an IPhone 11 when the screen is cracked? Thanks.

Typically with the X or newer phones replacing just the glass isn’t a repair option as they are fused together to minimize any air gaps. From an authorized repair perspective the entire display component is replaced (Along with some grounding springs)
