Is it common to have your upload speed faster than your download? I always thought it should be the other way around. Download higher than upload.

Those speeds are essentially the same. If you had 150 down and 200 up that what be enough of a difference to question. 6mbps difference in traffic over the network.

I have gig fiber service and my upload is always faster than the download.

My download is slightly faster than my upload, but they are essentially the same. Which, as has been mentioned, is normal for a "symmetrical" fiber connection.
