Internet coverage in Baton Rouge

What is best in terms of Internet speed and price? Comcast? Cox? Any other options?

Baton Rouge = Cox
You might also have U-Verse available at your address, but Cox wins the internet, U-verse wins TV.

Cox basically owns BR with internet.

Where I live (Central) speed and price are comparable regarding internet at the higher speeds but Cox has more options and better price at the lower speeds. Where I work (near cortana ) Cox destroys ATT in business internet on both and I don't know about TV, it's been a while.

I live in Central, too. I had U-Verse for a while, but in my neighborhood (North Woods), my distance from the VRAD limited my max available speed package to 18mbps. Upload speeds abysmal. It was reliable and consistent though. Just didn't like the extra latency due to interleaving, and wanted the 50mbps from Cox.

I was the same I think but didn't need the upgrade until 24 was available and had no need for high up speeds but I'm actually getting 27 down and consistently right about 4.75 up. I'm still in my reduced rate period but once it's up I'll either bump to 48 or switch to Cox for the 50 and if I do go with Cox it will be mainly to buy a new network TV tuner with cablecard so I can dvr shows on cable.

Since you live close by, I'm happy to help with any new workstation builds you have coming up.
