Looking at buying 55" tv that I will keep in garage we not in use. I bought a roll cart so will roll it in and out.
I was thinking bottom rung Samsung or LG
Should I look at even cheaper brand? Suggestions?
Thanks for advice

TCL Roku TVs are perfect for things like that.

Buying at the wrong time looks like bringing in new model

Cheapest one in whatever size you want. I've had tvs in the garage and under covered patios for years. Only thing that ever killed one was a rock that got slung from my rear neighbors lawn mower. Weather has never bothered them

I just bought the TCL 43" for 169 at Target. They have larger ones and all are super cheap. If it dies from being outside, just get another one in a few years.

This. Best Buy often has good deals. Picked up a $100 40 inch Visio last month for my screened in porch. If you get 5 years out of it that’s a win.

Currently using an old, and I mean 10+ years old, Samsung 46 inch on our new screened porch. I'll buy a new SmartTV at some point, probably one of the FireTV editions, but I agree, go with something cheap that has the functionality you want. I was using the old one in the living room, but upgraded to a 50 inch 4k Samsung about 6 months ago. Also have an old 42 inch I might put out there instead and put the 46 in the kids playroom.

Costco has the 55” Hisense Roku TV for 269. It’s a year or two old as far as the technology but it is a solid TV, especially for something like an outdoor TV.
Walmart has the 65” version of the same TV for 429.
ETA: it is the R6 series.

I have a 55 TCL for my bedroom and it’s actually really good. The roku remote is actually more responsive than my actual roku device on my other tv.
