I'm in the market for a new budget tv. I'm hoping for some advice and help in choosing one.

The tv will be for my living room, so I'm looking at a 65". I don't game and it's mostly for watching sports and streaming shows/movies.

Looking at Best Buy's website, I see 4 tv's that are all exactly $500. Would you recommend any of the 4? If not, is there another tv in the same price range you would?

1) TCL 65" 4 Series 4K UHD Roku TV (Model: 65S435)

2) LG 65" UP7000 4K UHD (Model: 65UP7000PUA)

3) Vizo 65" V-Series Smart TV (Model: V655-J09)

4) Hisense 65" A6G Android TV (Model: 65A6G)

Out of those 4 I would choose the TCL. However, I would buy the Insignia f50. The 65 is $569 on bestbuy

Spend an extra hundred and get the VIZIO - 65" Class M6 Series Premium Quantum LED 4K UHD Smart TV

Best buy 599.00

Much higher quality of tv than those four and the best value in your price range.

Don't buy TCL. Don't buy Chinese. Buy American.

I’m in the market as well. I’ve narrowed it down to the Sony bravia 65” 4k or the Vizio 4k…saw what I thought was a 65” bravia at sams for $699 researched and thought I found it at Best Buy for $649, went to Best Buy and it closed at 7:00??…was there at 7:15…

Now after researching, I’m doubting what I thought I saw in size and pricing.

If not in a rush, might be some good deals closer to super bowl

I bought my inlaws a TCL 6 series - google tv for Christmas and we were very impressed by it. I bought a smaller vizio on black Friday 2020 and it is having issues. When playing anything on the TV hardware itself it flickers on white parts of the screen, the UI freezes indefinitely and I have to unplug and plug back in. I've swapped to an nvidia shield on that tv instead of the vizio ui and it only recognizes the input about half the time (a hard reset corrects it). Additionally the vizio has a one year warranty from most retailers except sams and Costco. Those two retailers offer a three year warranty.

Paid a little more than I wanted to, but bought the 65” Sony Bravia at Best Buy for $802 after taxes. Picture is awesome

I bought TCL for back porch and have bought a lot of them for work as well. If you really must stay in that group, TCL is my vote. Soundbar will pretty much be a necessity.
