How to get internet anywhere in the world?

So I am looking into traveling around some remote places around Europe and Asia, but need to be sure I will have internet on my computer all the time(good internet) and I was wondering if there was a service I could buy or something I could stick in my computer to make this possible. Any suggestions? I don't want to be dependent upon finding wifi. TIA

just got back from Thailand and many places you stay have free internet or you can purchase Wi-Fi access plans. try to figure out which carrier had the most spots.

I'm sure AT&T or Verizon have USB Air Cards with international plans available.

If you are going to be in remote areas like you say, your only option is satellite.
Globalstar's satfi is one option.

While you can generally find a way to get connectivity anytime you are in populated areas, it is seldom up to the standards that you are used to having in the United states...lots of places selectively block sites like social networking sites, YouTube, etc....

it was a great trip. haven't been back in eight or so years, so things have changed for the better.
much easier to get around Bangkok now with the expanded elevated train system. don't bother with fancy restaurants, because street food is better.
flights to the beach or mountains are generally cheap and only an hour away. you can build packages for flight and hotel on any of the usual travel websites. If you have time to plan, Trip Advisers, has the best multi city packages.
