i'm so doing this! the current fans are loud as a mug.
any issues with getting into the web UX? i can telnet in and play with some of the switch settings but would love to get the web UI enabled.
eta had to downgrade to Java v6 and run IE11 in 'compatibility mode' to get it to run

think i should probably update the firmware so i can get a better built-in website.

Yeah, with this HPE/Aruba switch I use, if it's not upgraded there are issues running it without IE, I think it requires ActiveX or something.
Just keep in mind like j1897 said on the last page, the 24 ports are 1-gigabit and the 4 SFP+ ports on the far right are 10-gigabit. You need to get compatible SFP+ modules and you likely need to reconfigure the switch so they function as normal ports and not just uplinks. At least that's what I had to do on my switch. This video describes how it's done on my switch but I don't expect it'll be the same for your switch.
Once you get it set up, you can use a program like iperf3 to benchmark bandwidth between two machines to make sure you're getting what you expect.

Sounds like you really did your research on this new house. Congrats!

You sure are smart. I'll get your thoughts on my next house purchase before deciding.

This is just geeky enough to intrigue me.
And yes, the old web service requires ie11, java 6 and for the browser to be in compatibility mode.

Do you have that in your home wiring closet or in your cave?

It’s that POS att box. Can’t tell if that’s the PACE or the BGW 210. You need to get the new version the BGW 320. Solved all my ATT problems after years of the POS pace 5268 giving me headaches.

It’s that POS att box.
I was reading on Reddit where some guy bought att router certificates for $100 off eBay and installed open-wrt on his own router and was able to connect it directly to the ONT bypassing att hardware altogether but that seems like something I would try as a last resort.
I've got it working now but it feels fragile. I wonder if my Ethernet connections will come back if the router crashes without going through a bunch of nonsense again
