House rewire for digital?

My house had coax pulled room to room when constructed 40 years ago. Cox has tweaked that a time or two but signal varies greatly in each room. Is there a good company in BTR that can assess and then rewire with a system well suited for contemporary digital usage?

Contemporary digital usage is wifi.
Can you tell us what your current setup is like, as well as your problems/needs/wants?

Just get someone to use RG6 and you will be good. You got everything you could after 40 years.

Make that quad shielded RG6.

Currently I have wifi (cable modem + Netgear router) on coax in a centrally-located room serving 12 devices. Every couple of months connections get dropped and I reset the router for a reliable fix. Internet is via Cox as is TV via a cable box. I quit ATT landline a year ago an just use cell phone.
I'd like to have uniform signal strength at all coax outlets (3), and I'd like to add hardwired ethernet in a few rooms providing digital connection and POI to a few IOT devices.
I've read that existing phone lines can be converted to ethernet with just a connector change...or not.

If they were done with CAT5 cable, yes. If they are old telephone lines, then no.
You can also use RG6 coax to transport up to 2.5Gbps ethernet but the MoCA adapters required at each end can be pricey.

Thanks for input. MoCA sounds interesting.
