Recently had a new HVAC and gas furnace installed. My HVAC guy had this as part of the install package to replace an old programmable thermostat we had. I haven't played around with it much, besides setting a schedule. Is there a way for it to switch between heat and cool on a schedule? For example, if I set the heat to around 60, and the air to 72, would it remain in that range? Or would I have to set it to heat mode if it is cold, and cool mode if it is warm? My old manual programmable one I had to switch between modes, but wasn't sure if the new ones did this.

i have 2 of these and love them.

hook them up to wifi and you can set a schedule using your phone; thats the easiest way to do it.

you can also add the honeywell skill to alexa and yell 'turn the heat up' in the middle of the night from the comfort of your bed.

you're going to love the geofencing feature where it senses you're close to home and turns the therm up/down for you.

also you'll get a monthly energy report in your email that compares year over year (after a year of data) and thats really cool to see the statistics.

i can help answer questions. i bought these because they were like $45/ea at amazon warehouse and i'm a honeywell fan and didn't want to spend $200+ on ecobee or nest.

That's what I was trying, but in the app, all I see is Mode, and it is heat, cool, or off.

You need to enable it in advanced settings (300)

It’s disabled by default.

Looks like mine is the T6 Lyric, and it doesn't look exactly like that. From what I could find searching on that link, this isn't a feature of this model.

I have 2 of those.

I use the Honeywell Home app on my phone.

Here are some of the screens I see:

I’m not sure how that helps him. You have to change the installer settings on the panel.

On my Honeywell WiFi thermostats (different models, but still touchscreen) , I had to set my thermostat up as a “business” and not a “home” to allow both a heat and cool setting at the same time - ie a min and a Max temp
