Would this be the right board to ask about Home security? I tried the home/garden board with no luck.

I have nothing but the Lyric at this point.
I dont need monitoring. My goal for the starting point is just to monitor 3 windows and 3 doors at night while sleeping. Just a local alarm is sufficient. The system likely wouldn't be armed when not at home.

I have it.. Its easy to setup and use. I have monitoring though.

If you can get into programming it will make beeps and boops. Just need some contacts.
