I am trying to setup surround sound in a game room about 20 x 25. It will have two tvs. I’m looking for suggestions on a receiver where I can pick which tv I want the sound coming from.

Also, is there a way to make one tv mirror the other one without cable?

Interesting in this as well. And one TV with Apple TV split screen may be an option. Are you trying to run two over the air antenna for programming? (Mentioned no cable)

If you have ARC, connect one to your TV with an HDMI cable. Use optical out from the other TV to the receiver. Just choose which input corresponds to the TV you want sound for.

1) How far apart are the two TV's? Same wall? Different wall? A sketch would really help
2) If acceptably close, most TV's will have audio out, either with optical or RCA
3) if close enough ( ~5m, generally) you can use either toslink or RCA. If farther, you get RCA. Toslink can give you surround. Find a receiver with 2 inputs. RCA will give you stereo. I would need to see a picture for your room setup/speaker placement to really comment, but I can't imagine this scenario having a good setup for surround unless the TVs were side by side or top/bottom.

What's the source?
How much are you willing to spend?
There is something called a "matrix" switch that would allow you to split X inputs between Y outputs. You could also, if the TVs are close and doing something like 2 Roku/AppleTV/firetv or something just get an HDMI splitter for each device and feed the output back through toslink for surround. This, also, would only be a great option for things next to each other.

So, if you wouldn't mind answering the above and listing the actual sources you want to use, I could be more help (hopefully).

I'm not a pro.
