Help! iPhone screen looks like a negative photo

And no, the colors are not inverted in accessibility settings and it’s not in dark mode. This happened all of a sudden while I was using my phone and I can’t find a fix anywhere that is anything other than going in to fix the accessibility settings.
Any iPhone savvy people here who can help? It’s driving me crazy!

Did you do a forced shut down and reboot?

If you have a home button still-triple clicking it cycles a negative photo effect on or off. I'm not sure if that is considered the inverted color setting that you already verified

Yes. A couple times.
I also updated all my apps because I saw someone say that could be the problem.

I don’t. But I also found that setting as it would apply to the button on the right of the phone and it’s not turned on.

You’ve done everything I know to try. Do you have a recent backup file that you could revert to?
I did a quick search on apple forums and dont see much as far as other people having a similar issue so it is likely a slider that needs cycled off.

So obviously this is some sort of triple tap on the screen or something like that but I don’t know what the exact move is. Anyone have any ideas?

I went to the ATT store today. I’m still not sure how it got like that, but if you go into Settings and in the Reset menus hit “Erase Settings”. That will not delete your data, but will get you back to na normal screen.
Try at own risk Apple forums

It's possible to enter accessibility mode with triple clicking the home button on the side. Maybe he is accidentally hitting that and changing the settings.

In accessibility settings you probably switched one of the display settings.
Go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Invert Colors, then choose Smart Invert or Classic Invert. Or use accessibility shortcuts. Smart Invert Colors reverses the colors of the display, except for images, media, and some apps that use dark color styles.

So my son (a baby) started slapping at/playing with my phone last night and like magic it was fixed!
Give him the phone again and this time after he fixes it don't give it to him again.
