Help Finding Internet chokepoint

I’ve got spectrum on a Linksys Pro Mesh with three nodes. We can stream movies in multiple rooms, service coverage is fairly good. Playing COD MW2, I lag constantly. When I do a speed check, even while lagging I get over 250 Mbps with between 30 and 60 at worst ping over wi-fi. I play online over wi-fi about 15 feet from the parent node and I have the PS5 strictly on the 5ghz band. How can I find out if it is the COD network, my mesh network, the service from spectrum, or some other limitation? Would a hard connection make that big a difference?

If hard wiring helps a second step may be to check the amount of activity on the different WiFI channels. I don't know the density of where you live but if it's an apartment an app like this may help find lesser congested channels.

Use a Wi-Fi scanner and scan all the Wi-Fi access points in your neighborhood and find out what channels they are on. I use WiFi Analyzer and Scanner from the Windows Store. Once you find that out, make sure you don’t go on those channels by configuring your WiFi router in admin settings. If you need help, list the model number of the router and I can dig up some instructions.

Sounds like packet loss on Wifi.
I would never game over wifi personally.

I see you're already on it, but just to answer the question...
Yes.
