I bought a set of these 6.5 2 way bookshelf speakers LINK a few weeks ago and I've been pleased. I use them with this amp LINK for computer speakers. Are they audiophile quality ? No, of course not. But they sound great for the price and get loud enough to fill a room with sound. I also chose to upgrade the power supply with this LINK So for around 70.00 I think it's a great deal.

My first real sub was a Dayton. Had that thing for year and wore it out.

I had Dayton outdoor speakers based upon a glowing review and was very pleased. The only reason I went away from them with the latest install was due to using a professional installer who has access to other things.

These speakers really do punch well above their class. Paired with a Lepai 2020a+, they’re surprisingly deep/wide sounding.
No, they don’t hold a candle to $2K systems.
Yes- they’re better than any integrated stereo you ever heard in the 90s/early 200s. They’re better than your typical iPod dock. And they practically give them away.
The amp:
I’ve never owned or listened to it. I came very close a few times. Advantage over my beloved Lepai is that you can power it by batteries, so it’s an option for tailgaters that want a compact system. It’s more than loud enough for some sound outside while you’re talking. You could probably turn it up loud enough to be uncomfortable. But this is not a PA-loud system for 200 people and wouldn’t bother the folks a few tents away. It’s not waterproofed or easy to carry, but there are some applications where this is enough/desirable.
I’m actually leaning toward buying this for my godson. Thanks for sharing (I bought the speakers for my sister, a music major, about a decade ago).

My dayton 12 cost 1/10th the price of my SVS. It is way better than 1/10th. For the price they are solid.
