My Insignia speaker suddenly started doing this. The odd thing is, it always completes the task. So, when I say, "Hey Google, play______________" it does, then a couple seconds later says I don't understand. Couldn't find an easy answer with a search. Any ideas?

Oh, and my mini in another room does not do this.

My Amazon Echo is supposed to be set up to listen to me. It never understands me, but understands my 4 year old's jibberish - not to mention she calls her Melissa instead of Alexa.

I always wonder what the reviewers of smart speakers are fricking talking about when they say the search is good.

No it isn't.
