For some reason when you google our business you can write a review and it goes to one review place but evidently there’s also a business review page as well on google. Anyone know why this happened and is there a way to combine them?

1. Any business with a physical address can get Google Reviews. These are the reviews you often see for restaurants, retail stores and services, etc. The reviews are mainly from people who find the business on Google Maps.

2. If you're running an ecommerce store, you can also configure your website to collect Google Customer Reviews that can appear in online ads, on your website, etc. Reviews come from a pop-up that appears when a customer completes a purchase.

The merchant has no way to respond to Google Customer Reviews no matter weird or unreasonable they may be.

Have you claimed the listing?

If you haven't claimed the listing, you won't be able to manage it.

IIRC, Google sends a postcard to your business physical address with an online code for you to claim the listing.

They did that after I claimed it to get the sensor that tracks people in/out...but I just claimed it off google.

There should be a "claim this business" button when you google the business. My gut says this is OP's issue.

I don't own a business but I'd like to know more about this. Is this the thing that says whether a business is busy or not? I figured they were pulling that straight from phones via maps or whatever.

THAT is probably from phones.

Do you ever get a notification asking for a review for a place you visited? The sensor is for that. It's a geo locator device Google sends you and when people are nearby, it often sends the data and those messages.
