For a birthday, I want to gift a website for an interior designer. Wix seems to be a decent option but I'm not sure how to "gift" it. I also think that requires her to build the actual site. Not sure what the cost would be to have one built but want to keep the price ~$500.

Any ideas?

Wix is a good option for a first website. Last month, I recreated my website using Wix, just to evaluate it. It's easy enough for a non-technical person to use. Gifting it would be awkward. You could pay for hosting or hire a Wix Expert.

Create a throw-away email account. Use it to sign up for a Wix account. Pay for $500 worth of hosting. Then give her the email account credentials and Wix account credentials. She can change the Wix account credentials later and abandon the e-mail address.

Or you could hire one of these Wix Experts to help her get started. $500 isn't going to go a long way with a professional. It took me three hours just to copy
content from my website to Wix.

I would imagine that by the time an interior designer sets up a website, this will be due again..

Just give them that money and tell them to put it towards a website
