Curious of any suggested tutorials, articles, boards, links, etc. to get started with IPTV. I'm an IP Torrents user and see their IPTV frequently advertised. What services do y'all use and how does one get started?

In case it matters, I'm primarily a Nvidia Shield and Chromecast user when it comes to streaming. We have currently cut the cord, but looking for something to cheaply supplement for sports.

check out the stickied thread at top. Many are using that IPTV and seem satisfied. install/setup would be easy for you.

Wading through that thread is a PIA. Many IPTV providers have their own apps you can sideload and put in your user name and password and start watching. If you want to use a third-party viewer such as tivimate, which I use, then you will need to learn about EPG urls and not all providers give you this url so you are stuck using their app. I currently use Nosleep which used to be very good but they have issues right now. So I also now use KS Hosting which is decent but not great. I need to find a rock solid provider that provides an EPG.

I use the service through IP Torrents. Takes a little trial and error to get your channel lineup set the way you want, but it's good for $10/month. Run it through the IPTV app on the Shield

I got Cobra Hosting and Tivimate about a month ago. It's pretty fricking sweet. It's my first experience into IPTV so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I've been more than satisfied. I typically would subscribe to Sling during football season for sports and redzone and then cancel at the end of the season. Occasionally some channels will lag/buffer, but most of the channels I watch sports on (redzone, nfl network, the major broadcast channels, etc) have alternate channels you can switch to if one is acting up.

I had Area 51 for about a year until they shite the bed. Now using Sapphire Secure, and very pleased so far, Especially for $5/month for one connection or $8/month for 2.

I'm quite curious as well, I've wanted to do it but can imagine the knock at the door from the feds. Are you constantly running a VPN to run these services?
