This appears to work for Emby and Jellyfin as well but I use Plex so I can't attest to that.

PseudoTV

Its really, really simple. People have experienced a few bugs, me included, but they are pretty easy to solve and there is a pretty big thread on reddit as well as plex forums about getting this set up.

Emby has a built in DVR plugin. EPG data has to come from your provider or a 3rd party. I gave up trying to have a 100% accurate EPG. It's just impossible with IPTV.

This uses your media library to fake a live tv service and handles it through the tv/dvr. Apparently works with Emby as well as JellyFin.

Someone please explain this like I'm five.

Does it just allow me to create a schedule of shows from my library? What good is that if using Plex I can just access them whenever I want?

From what I've read, yeah. It recreates the channel surfing experience using your own media. It can even insert commercial breaks.

Sounds silly to me, but whatever floats your boat.

Exactly this. Turn on the TV and shows are on. The old tv watching experience.

Interesting. Obviously I didnt pay attention the first time. After reading the readme it seems like even more work than trying to make IPTV work.
