Anybody else? Trying to stream ESPN+

Won't work on my Roku TV. Says I am not located in the USA. Ok. Maybe it's the ISP having address issues. Tried on my phone over the Verizon network, same errors.

Dealing with ESPN customer service was absolutely worthless, pointless, and beyond frustrating.

I've tried multiple devices and through different networks with the same issues. Their answers are to just keep factory resetting my devices and reset my router. Note: how do I reset Verizon LTE service exactly?

Anybody else dealt with this?

ETA: tried the app on Firestick too and it won't work. Tried hot spotting my phone and connecting Roku TV to it and it won't work.

I know this should be obvious, but am going to ask anyway, are you paying for it?

Yes.

Let's hypothetically say I wasn't, I couldn't subscribe to the app in it's current state. It doesn't even go to a home screen. It goes straight to a notice telling me this string service is not available outside the USA.

No, I don't use a VPN.

No idea if this will help, but by chance maybe the TV provider you have associatted with your account is located out of the US?

I had this issue:
DirectV was bought by ATT verse, so my username and logged in for my TV provider switched, and no one let me know. I couldnt watch ESPN+ despite paying for a full month before I realized Directv was acquired.

Made me realize it's all about the TV provider

Go here and see where it says your IP is on the map. Something doesn't add up here.

Midco is out of Sioux Falls, SD and is in the Dakotas/Minnesota. It's partially owned by Comcast. Could be the ISP address have changed and ESPN doesn't recognize it so thinks it's foreign?

Odd part is I set of a hotspot using Verizon and tried using that as my ISP, same issue. So the issue is not device specific, it's not ISP specific, which tells me it's the app.

Solution. Shut off modem, unplug, restart. Gives you a new IP address. Apparently. Fixed the issue.
