Looking to get the kids(15 & 16) drawing pads/tablet that's strictly for that. Something stand alone that doesn't need to be used in conjunction with a CPU.

If I was starting over today, I'd go for an ipad with procreate. I currently use an older Surface Pro with Clip Studio Paint, but I'm not happy they are updating and going to a subscription model.

Does Wacom offer one that's stand alone? I'll have to check some of those out.

Because these are for the kids, i don't want them using them to just watch YouTube or tiktok dumb shite all time. Drawing, creating, whatever you to call it... but not surfing.

I’m interested in this as well. I’m leaning towards just getting them a Nintendo Switch.

There has to be a tablet company making tablets geared towards kids games and creativity with heavy parental controls and restrictions right?

I want my kids to be able to play games geared towards math and reading, drawing and creativity, etc but no web browsing ability and no camera. This has to be a thing.

Just get them a sketch pad then. If the idea is for them to draw and create digitally, what's wrong with using YouTube as a resource?

I understand your concerns with them wasting their time on social media etc. but there's a lot of valuable stuff on YouTube as well.
