Downloading Excel

My computer decided that it didn’t want to find my wifi connections so I just did a reset where it kept my files but reloaded windows.
Well the problem is it deleted Microsoft office from my computer. Is there any way to download an old version of excel? I know I can use 365 by logging into my account through a browser. But I want to actually download excel to use offline. Preferably for free.
My co worker was like no you have to pay the subscription every year. I said no, i never reupped my subs on any computer I’ve ever owned and was still allowed to use excel and word and power point.

If you have an O365 account, whether personal or through work, you can download the desktop office app. Of course It does depend on the license type you have and you will only be able to sign in on 5 devices.

You may want to purchase a 1 pc license for Office 2019. Should be able to find pretty cheap. I believe that will be the last version that will be available offline by Microsoft.

Probably not legit in the eyes of Microsoft.
If you already have Office 365, you don't have to use Excel in your browser. You can download and install it for offline use. But you will have to keep your 365 Subscription up.

Think that it probably is legit, but you can only use it on one pc and if you ever do most anything to that pc (change out a hard drive, etc), you will need a new license. A crash might even be enough to cause you to need a new license. Voice of experience speaking here...

Yep. Just need to sign in, go to your account, subscriptions and install the suite
