Or get bricked.
I 100% had to reinstall Windows after being forced to delete all partitions from my system/boot drive. This was on an MSI X570 with a boot SSD.
It seemed like a BIOS I hadn't updated in six months switched to a non-UEFI setting in the BIOS, which hosed the TPM and boot options, yet I haven't updated the BIOS since August/September. Cluster Foxtrot. I had to clear the CMOS with a knife to short the jumpers three or four times just to get to the point I could see anything on the screen. Power, no apparent POST, no display, even if I pulled all USB devices and plugged the display back into integrated graphics rather than the addon card.
As is typical, this happens after my system reboots after I return from my neighborhood living room (Pub, for newbs.)

I installed the driver update on 3 systems with no issues.
I don't see any complaints where either.

I was on the insider ring of Win11 deployment. Emphasis on was.
