I have Directv super package . I think the movies are bad and I would like to get ESPN+ . Should I call Directv and get a sports package for around $85 and the gemini ( which I think lets me stream netflix and espn+ ) or get a cheaper Directv package and get a Roku ?

What do you need ESPN+ for?
Boxing and girls soccer?

Well , some LSU games were only on ESPN+ in the past , so I thought I might get it . I am not a super tech person .

Not true. They were likely on SEC Network+ that comes with regular SECN subscription.

You only need ESPN + to watch a few non conference away baseball games. All football games will be on a ESPN channel or SEC network +. You just need your cable or streaming provider login to watch SEC network +.

Thanks ! I still have directv satellite . I think I am going to explore streaming via a Roku device rather than get the gemini from Directv . Some directv online forums describe issues with gemini and I am not a techie !

If you want an experience exactly like satellite, you'll want to use the directv device. It works exactly like satellite.
If you go with roku or other device, there will be some drastic changes to get used to. You wont get a guide menu/button. You wont be able to directly enter channel numbers. There is no DVR menu button. It is very different.
